Overview
About this work.
The centrepiece of the Modern Masters Evening Sale, Chromatic Silence No. 8 holds a midnight fjord in near-monochrome blues, broken only by a low band of moonlight on the water. Marlow built the surface over nine months, layering glazes until the mountains dissolve into atmosphere.
The work has anchored Marlow's recent museum exhibitions and arrives with full documentation from the artist's studio. Evening-sale demand for her large nocturnes has grown steadily across the last three seasons.

The artist's studio; private collection, Oslo; Bidhaven Modern Masters Evening Sale.
