Overview
About this work.
Quiet Form Study reduces the portrait bust to intersecting planes, its patinated surface shifting from moss to shadow as the light moves. Vale casts each edition himself and destroys the mould afterwards.
This is number two of six. Monumental in presence despite its tabletop scale, it suits both private interiors and sheltered garden rooms.
Provenance
The artist's foundry; private collection, Copenhagen.
Condition
Excellent. Patina undisturbed; foundry stamp and edition number verified.
